Frenectomy

A frenectomy is an operation performed by a dentist to remove excess tissue between the lower and upper lips and the jaw and gum line. Examples of lingual frenectomy and labial frenectomy are under the tongue and inside the upper lip center, respectively. This is a common dental procedure for both children and adults.
